When Im on the go and havent prepared a meal a meal to take with me, Wendys is one of my favorite spots to pick-up a low-carb and keto-friendly meal. I may be biased because I worked at a Wendys when I was in high school, but I feel as though there are some great Low Carb Options that wont ruin your progress with keto. As always, eating fast food is not ideal, but when you have options available, it makes the lifestyle so much easier to maintain.

OVERVIEW

For the most part, low-carbing at Wendys is pretty standard. You will basically order a sandwich without the bun or get a salad. When I ask for no bun please, the workers will generally give you the bun-less sandwich with the toppings on the side in a dish with a fork and knife. Its pretty convenient! Sometimes, they even put in big lettuce leaves to wrap the sandwich in.

  1. Not sure how old this post is. But from everything my different dietitians and nutritionists have told me, that they no long subtract all the fiber from the carbs. The only time they are subtracted is when the fiber and or sugar alcohols are greater than 5 grams. And only then you subtract half that amount. So if it has 11 carb and only 2 fibers. You do not subtract any amount from the carbs. If it was to have 5 carbs then you can subtract 2.5 grams from the carbs. To each their own. But thought I’d share because I know I was surprised when I was told this a couple yrs ago.
